The tabletop is made of HPL. This is none other than bakelite also known as laminate, which is a coating material made of synthetic resin, durable and hard. Its real name, then, is High Pressure Laminate 'HPL'. Bakelite is boards covered with sheets of synthetic materials that look like wood and has a matte or glossy finish. There is a huge variety of colors and imitations of wood or other designs. Its main characteristics are its resistance to impacts, abrasion and stains, its resistance to the creation of bacteria and finally its color stability to sunlight and artificial lighting. It also shows resistance to high temperatures, with excellent resistance to fire, scratches and it is particularly resistant to water.

Werzalit is a strong, dense, and synthetic material that is resistant to scratches, temperature fluctuations and stains, while its performance is stable (i.e., it has tremendous durability) even under the harshest indoor and outdoor conditions. The surface can withstand heat up to 180 degrees Celsius (356F) without getting burned and will not show burn marks from cigarettes or hot plates. This material is the result of a patented process that uses specialized machinery that creates enormous pressure to mold wood grains and resin into usable shapes.

MAINTENANCE:
